First year Apprentice recognised at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2017

Congratulations to Britain’s best Manufacturers and apprentices 2017 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards Celebration Lunch – South East

AeroAcademy congratulates Alexander Earle who was recognised at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2017 South East celebration event on 9 November 2017 at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Alexander Earle (Apprentice Design Engineer) was chosen from hundreds of high quality entries by our industry-led, independent judging panel as Runner up for Higher Apprentice Award – First Year.

Any apprentice can enter this award.  Alex was an ideal entry through his progression of his first year through his apprenticeship and excellent work on building the Wind tunnel which is used for Cambridge Launchpad events

Cambridge LaunchPad Scholarship is an exciting scheme initiated by the Marshall of Cambridge Group of Companies. Set-up and run by a group of enthusiastic young engineers, it aims to stimulate interest and enthusiasm for engineering and engineering relate businesses amongst young people.

The Cambridge LaunchPad aims to:

  • Educate young people about what engineering is
  • Create a buzz around engineering
  • Promote diversity and equality in engineering
  • Increase the number of people in engineering

This award has been developed for Higher level apprentices in engineering disciplines who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the first year of their Apprenticeship programme.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the first year of their Level 4 (Higher) or level 6 (Degree) engineering-focused apprenticeship programme in the 2016/17 academic year. For this award purpose; this includes apprentices working towards NVQ Level 4, HNC, HND, FDeg and/or degree.

The EEF Future Manufacturing Awards – now in their ninth year – are the most established and respected regional and national recognition of manufacturing success. The Future Manufacturing Awards are all about celebrating success, rewarding change, building partnerships, progressing ideas, developing good practice and investing in people. It highlights manufacturing at its finest and the 2017 competition has been no exception.
