Aerospace and Defence Group Ltd, Cambridge. AeroAcademy is a multi-faceted organisation providing Apprenticeships, education, NVQs, Health and Safety training, along with aircraft and Regulatory training delivery. AeroAcademy supports both internal and external

Customers in the UK and overseas through its team of tutors and managers.

ICT Apprentice Role:

This is an exciting new  apprenticeship role to become part of the ICT Department for Marshall ADG.

Starting as a member of the ICT Service Desk Team, you would be working in a busy office environment.

Your duties will start with logging technical issues and requests from the users, resolving where you can, or assigning high quality tickets to the other teams which make up the ICT Department, therefore good communication skills are essential.

You should also be forward looking, have a proactive view to problem solving and detecting trends to resolve issues before they even become a problem and suggesting new cost efficient ways of working.

ICT Apprentice duties will include:

  • Capturing information accurately into the Service Desk Call Management System
    Communicate with the Marshall ADG Internal support teams and external service providers as required to resolve Incidents and Resolutions
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base, covering applications, hardware and network incidents
  • Following established processes for acquisition of software, hardware and network systems
  • Following established processes for Service Requests to ensure they contain the appropriate level of managerial approval
  • Installed software is appropriately licensed.
  • Providing incident resolution and service request fulfilment for applications, software, hardware and network systems or re-assign to the appropriate support team
  • Work within, agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operating Level Agreement (OLA) time frames, meeting or exceeding customers’ requirements and expectations

The successful person will be supported to complete a Level 2 IT User Apprenticeship within the first year of employment, or be looking to progress an existing Level 2 qualification through to a Level 3, whilst working full time within the ICT Department or Marshall ADG.
